Seasons Hospice has a passion and commitment to educate and assist the community. We service patients of varying socioeconomic levels and continually find areas of severe financial need. We rely on donations and endowments to assist in our commitment in meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
Although we are Medicare licensed and receive payment from Medicare and other insurance companies, a large amount of our services are covered strictly by the generous donations and gifts from our patients, their families and friends. Some of the monies are used in educating the community regarding hospice and will help many patients with terminal illnesses get the information they need to insure they are receiving the best care they deserve.
Other uses of the generous donations received are used to help our more disadvantaged patients with pharmaceutical deductibles, groceries, utility bills, clothing, special need equipment, etc. As some of our patients have no way to pay for their care and are considered “non-funded” generous donations and endowments help those less fortunate receive the care they deserve.
Before a hospice patient passes, they can designate funds to be donated to Seasons Hospice. Another way would be to tell someone who wants to send flowers, etc. in memory of the deceased, to refer them in making a donation to Seasons Hospice in the deceased patient’s name. This suggestion can also be listed in the deceased’s obituary in the newspaper or the funeral home program.
